Cheryl Cerasoli, 69 of Berwick, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully Wednesday, February 5, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born September 13, 1944 in Berwick, a daughter to the late Harold Snyder, Sr. and Phylis Samsel-Harter. Cheryl was the founder and Executive Director of Beyond Violence, a Berwick-based, non-profit program providing shelter, counseling, and support services to victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault. Drawing and cooking were among the things she enjoyed, however; \"spoiling her grandchildren\" brought the most joy into her life. She was a "mom" to everyone and lived to inspire others. Surviving are her loving husband of fifty-one years, Vincenzo Cerasoli, Sr., a son, Matteo Cerasoli III and his wife, Erica of WV, daughter, Kimberly Ann Cerasoli-Brown of Bloomsburg, daughter-in-law, Julie Cerasoli of Berwick, six grandchildren: Gabriella and Garrett Brown, Salvatore Cerasoli, and Matteo Dominic, Annabella, and Francesca Cerasoli, one great-grandson, Michael Vincent, a sister, Bonnie Kulp and her husband, Larry of Berwick, and many nieces and nephews. As well as her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Vincenzo Cerasoli II and a brother, Harold Snyder, Jr. Visitation is 5:00-9:00 PM Friday, February 7 at the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday, February 8 at St. Joseph Church, 721 Monroe Street, Berwick. Fr. Dennis Dalessandro will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Walnut Street, Berwick. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Cheryl\'s memory be made to Beyond Violence, 1612 Walnut Street, Berwick, PA. 18603.
