Charlotte D. (Thomas) Parr, 82, of Main-Mifflin Road, Bloomsburg, died Thursday afternoon, January 21, 2016 at the Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident since January 11th. Born February 18, 1933 in Nescopeck, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Alma (Kemler) Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert L. "Bob" Parr, on February 22, 1992. Mrs. Parr was a graduate of Nescopeck High School and had been employed by various sewing factories in the area. She retired around 1996. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church of Mainville. Her hobbies included latch hook rugs, needlepoint and embroidery. Surviving are her two children: Rosemary Burkland, of Nescopeck; Steven L. Parr and his wife, Sherry, of Nescopeck; 6 grandchildren: Nicole and her husband, Erik; Jeremy and his wife, Marie; Matthew; Martin and his wife, Amber; Kurtis and Michelle. Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy "Dot" McCormick and her husband, Earl, of Berwick; two brothers: John Scott Thomas and his wife, Sandy, of Berwick; Lester Thomas and his wife, Janice, of Nescopeck. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Parr in 1993; a son-in-law, Joseph Burkland in 2012; a great grandson, Mason Parr in 2010 and by a brother, Crawford "Bud" Thomas. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 at 2 PM at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick with her grandson, Martin L. Parr, officiating. Burial will be in the Emmanuel Reformed Church Cemetery, Mainville. A viewing will be held Monday from 4 to 6 PM at the Funeral Home.
