Charles Raymond Frace, Jr., 86, of Mifflinville, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Nanticoke August 31, 1933, he was a son to the late Charles and Kathryn (Schloyer) Frace. Charles was a graduate of Mifflinville High School. Following graduation, he attended Bloomsburg State Teachers College until being drafted. Charles proudly served in the US Army from 1953-1955 with the 329th Communications Reconnaissance Company during the Korean War. Having returned home after his honorable discharge, he worked for the Sutter Corporation. He also worked for PennDOT, beginning as a surveyor. While with PennDOT, he also worked as a field engineer in bridge construction and as a maintenance supervisor, the position from which he retired in 1981. Charles was a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ in Nescopeck and was also a life member of the Mifflinville Rangers Fire Company. He was an avid card player. His greatest joy was his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren, and they will all miss him deeply. Surviving Charles is his loving wife of 63 years, the former Marie Leone Nagle. Also surviving are sons: Larry Frace and wife, Debra (Yank), of Bloomsburg, Tim Frace and wife, Maricarmen (Cesatti), of Orlando, FL, and James Frace and wife, Amber (Stout), of Bloomsburg, daughter: Kay Petty of Berwick, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister: Gilberta Sockney of Mahwah, NJ, brothers: Gary Frace and wife, Trudy, of Hetlerville and Dennis Frace and wife, Darla, of Wapwallopen. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a son, Christopher, who passed in December of 2009. Also preceding him were brothers: Allen Frace and Donald Frace.
