Carolyn S. Stiner

Carolyn S. Stiner, 90, of Berwick, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Berwick Retirement Village II, where she had resided for the past 6 years. She was born November 4, 1924 in Plymouth, a daughter to the late Joseph and Ida (Sheer) Steever. Carolyn worked for years at the former George R. Wolfe TV Sales and Service before retiring. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Circle Elizabeth at the First United Methodist Church of Berwick. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening in her younger years. She also loved animals, especially her best friend dogs Reggie and Nugget. Surviving Carolyn are her son, Thomas Stiner of CT., daughter, Beth Montana of Berwick, and granddaughters, Taylor and Payden Montana also of Berwick. As well as her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 50 years, M. Luther Stiner, brother, H. Russell Steever, and sister, Ida "Betsy" Wolfe. A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday, February 25 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Her funeral service is 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Ronald Hoffman of First United Methodist Church will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
