Bruce W. Ashenfelder

Bruce W. Ashenfelder, 72, of Berwick, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.  Born in Lewisburg on June 21, 1953, he was a son to the late Bryce and Jennie (Oberlin) Ashenfelder.

Mr. Ashenfelder was a graduate of Columbia Montour Area Vocational Technical School, Class of 1971.  He had been a long time employee of Heinz Pet Products, from which he retired.  Bruce was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing.

Surviving Bruce is his beloved wife, Blanche Edna Mae (Miller) Ashenfelder, with whom he celebrated  28 years of marriage on June 28.  He is also survived by daughter, Meagan L. Saxe and husband, Kevin, of Beach Haven; step-children: Charles A. Workman, Jr. and wife, Helen, of Wilkes-Barre and Patricia E. Stinnette and husband, Brian, of Gloucester, VA; grandson, Brandon L. Saxe of Wilkes-Barre; step-grandchildren: Katie Workman of Wilkes-Barre, Johnathan Stinnette and wife, Lauren, of CA, Nancy Gautreaux of Gloucester, VA, and Joseph Stinnette and fiancee, Amanda Asbell, of Gloucester, VA; step-great-granddaughter, Reagan Gautreaux; and brothers: Dennis Ashenfelder and wife, Deborah, of Stillwater and Ronald Ashenfelder and wife, Jane, of Berwick.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by daughter, Crystal Ashenfelder, who passed away September 9, 2014.
