Brian S. Whitmire

Brian S. Whitmire, 51 of Berwick, was stricken and died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Pittsburgh. He was born September 6, 1962 in Berwick, the son of Duane and Nancy (Wagner) Whitmire of Berwick. Brian was employed as a truck driver for Zimmerman Truck Lines of Mifflintown. Fishing, hunting and going to car shows were among the things he enjoyed to do. He also was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. A devoted and loving father, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. As well as his parents, he is survived by son, Ethan D. Whitmire, daughter, Brianna K. Whitmire, both of Berwick, and sisters: Diane Bailor and her husband, Mark of Richfield, PA. and Sandy Bennett and her husband, Greg of Bloomsburg. Brian\'s funeral service is 1:00 PM Monday, April 28 at the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East 3rd St, Berwick. Friends may call from from 12 noon until time of the service. Pastor Stephen Potutschnig will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations in Brian's memory can be sent to the American Heart Association, 1020 Ash Street,.
