Brett Eugene Siegel

Brett Eugene Siegel, 29, of Sunbury, died Thursday, January 1, 2015 of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was born August 8, 1985 in Berwick, a son to James and Brenda (Neilson) Siegel of Berwick. Brett was a graduate of Berwick High School. He served in the Navy as a Gunner's Mate aboard the aircraft carrier George Washington during his enlistment, which included deployment to the Persian Gulf. He currently worked as an electrician for the Howard Organization in Bloomsburg. The outdoors was where Brett loved to spend time, whether it was salmon fishing at Pulaski, NY, trips to the family cabin, horseback riding, camping, hunting trips to Colorado, or fishing trips to Canada. Brett was a kind and friendly man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his parents, two brothers: Todd and his wife, Nicole and Christopher, all of Berwick, two sisters: Bethann Huston and her husband, Jerry of NC and Carolann Bordwell of NY, grandmother, Marian Neilson of NC, girlfriend, Amy Fetterolf of Sunbury, nephews: Cody Siegel, Brandon Huston and Ryan Huston, nieces: Brooke Siegel, Morgan Siegel, Kelsey Bordwell and Hanna Bordwell, best friend dogs: "Ellie" and "Remi," and his horse, "Faith." Brett's funeral is 11:00 AM Monday, January 5 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. Third St., Berwick. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until time of the services. Pastor Dennis Sitler will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery.
