Beatrice Joyce Woll

March 21, 1926 — January 2, 2015

BEATRICE JOYCE (STOUT) WOLL, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, formerly of Berwick, passed away quietly at the age of 88, Friday, January 2. She was surrounded by her loving children. Beatrice was the wife of the late Charles Theodore Woll, also of Berwick, for 65 years. She was a 1944 graduate of Berwick High School. A member of the Greatest Generation, she worked and helped hold the family together until Charles, a hero of World War II, returned home. Her main focus in life was supporting and taking care of her husband and family as well as her homes in Berwick and Naples, FL. She also resided in Erie, PA and Freeport, PA for a time. Beatrice was a member of the Methodist Church and many community and women's service organizations including Eastern Star. She was also part of a local circle of friends called the West Side Girls. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, the beach, knitting, reading, puzzles, hot tubs, music-Elvis, Tom Jones. She also enjoyed playing Aces to Kings with friends, having fun, and securing bargains at yard sales. She invented the "recipe" for "Surprise Cuckenloaf". "Bebe", "Bea", "Beebs" will always be loved and sorely missed by her children: son Charles Theodore Woll II, Lebanon, PA; daughters Darla Joyce (Woll) Sachetta, Reading, PA; and Lynne Marie Woll, Quakertown, PA.; and by their respective spouses Barbara Stephenson and Steven Sachetta. She will be affectionately remembered by her granddaughters Erinn Morgan Croke, Durango, Co; Shannon Freist, Webster, FL; Summer Woll, Wyalusing, PA ; her great-granddaughter Isabella; also great-granddaughters Libby, Riley, and Lucy. She will always be in the hearts of in-laws Cecelia "Toot" Croop; Albert "Al" Everett; Nalzina "Nan" Woll; and many nieces and nephews. Beatrice's funeral is 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10 at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of the service. Pastor Dennis McCracken of Calvary United Methodist Church will serve as the officiant. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
