Barry P Masick

Barry P. Masick, 70 of Berwick, died suddenly Monday, September 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born March 9, 1943 in Berwick, the son of the late Peter and Eve (Shymkiw) Masick. He was a member of the Berwick High School Class of 1963 and attended Penn State University. An avid golfer, Barry was known throughout the area for his skill and accomplishments on the links. He also loved fly fishing, following Bulldog football, Bucknell Bison basketball, and spending time with his friends. His parents opened Masick's Store on Orange Street when Barry was seven, and he eventually took over the business and ran it until closing the door for the final time in 2011. Barry was the last survivor of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father, Albert Evans. His funeral is 2:00 PM Thursday, September 26 at the McMichael-Rairigh & Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. 3rd St., Berwick. His pastor, Richard Thomas of Bethel Bible Church will serve as the officiant. Friends can call at the funeral home form 1:00 PM until time of the service. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick.
