Barbara B. Stang

Barbara B. (Creasy) Stang, 74, of Mifflinville, died suddenly December 1, 2025. Born in Berwick on May 8, 1951, she was a daughter of the late William Creasy and the late Corolla (Ridall) Hunter.

Barbara was a graduate of Nescopeck High School. On January 4, 1968, she wed the love of her life, Mr. Donald A. Stang. Together, they raised their family and shared 48 years of marriage. Barbara was a long-time employee of the Inn at Turkey Hill in Bloomsburg, having been employed there for more than 30 years. She had been very active with the Girl Scouts, serving as Service Unit Manager, as well as many other roles. She was also a Boy Scout Pack Mom and a recipient of the Order of the Arrow. Barbara was also an avid gardener who loved spending time with her beloved family, especially her granddaughter, Bloom.

Surviving Barbara are her daughters: Dionne Fausnaught and boyfriend, Brian Welliver, of Berwick and Caitlin “Katie” Stang and partner, Jacob Barto, of Hughesville; grandchildren: William Fausnaught, John Fausnaught, Audrey Barto, Paitynn Barto, Bloom Barto, and Khennedi Stang; great-grandchildren; Rumor and Levi; brother, William Creasy and wife, Lois, of Berwick; and her boss, who became family, Andrew Pruden.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Stang, who passed away December 13, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, John Hunter, and a brother, Conrad Creasy.

Barbara’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 1-4 PM at the Inn and Farmhouse at Turkey Hill, 991 Central Road, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. The Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the Stang family.
