Barbara E. (Grosso) Williams, of Berwick, went home to be with her Lord and loved ones Monday, December 28, 2020 in her home with her family at her side. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter to the late Joseph and Mary (Lupino) Grosso.
Mrs. Williams attended Germantown High School in Philadelphia. She wed the love of her life, the late Richard A. Williams on June 29th, 1974. Together, they raised their family and shared 30 years of marriage, until his passing on June 16, 2005. For more than 30 years, Barbara operated a day care from her home. She had always loved caring for the children who referred to her as “Zia Barb”. Barb was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM Church and of the U.S. Marine Corps League Ladies Auxiliary, White Haven Detachment #1039. She was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams: The Flyers, Phillies, and Eagles. She also collected angels, lanterns, and American flags. Barbara loved spending time with her family and friends, by whom she will be greatly missed.
Barbara is survived by her son: Micheal Laraio and wife, Lisa, of Berwick; grandchildren: Rick Laraio of Berwick and Andrea Laraio of Berwick; great-grandson: Ethan Reiner of Berwick; and sister, Angeline Biedrzycki of Lancaster.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by brother, Joseph F. Grosso, Jr. and sister, Mary Ann Fragale.
Barbara’s services will be private with her interment being at Forest Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia. Her Pastor, Rev. Matthew R. Larlick, will officiate.
