Arnold P. Myers, 66 of Berwick, died peacefully at his home Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He was born on June 5, 1947 in Huntingdon, PA, a son to Paul and Thelma (DeShong) Myers. He taught history at Berwick Area High School from 1970- 1978. After that he moved to Benton and farmed for many years. Arnie enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, and leatherworking. He was a great storyteller and had a knack for writing. His favorite type of music was soul, and he loved to dance and joke around. He was very fond of game nights with family and friends and loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren. Arnie is survived by his loving wife of forty years, the former Melissa Carter of Berwick. Also surviving are: his mother, Thelma, of Harrisburg; son, Shain Myers and his wife, Misty, of North Carolina; daughter, Talitha Richardson and her husband, Michael, of Berwick. His six grandchildren: Alex Skopic of Tunkhannock; Austin and Justin Myers of North Carolina; and Angelique, Analeigh and Kierstin Richardson of Berwick. His siblings: Caroline Reyes, wife to Abraham of Connecticut; Ray Myers and his partner, Scott Gahagen, of Harrisburg; and Janice Myers, also of Harrisburg. A memorial service celebrating Arnie\'s life will be held at noon Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Emmanual Bible Chapel, 20 Kachinka Hollow Road, Berwick.
