Alice M. (Lucas) Andreas

Alice M. (Lucas) Andreas, 93, of Hetlerville, died Tuesday, December 13th, 2016 at the Berwick Hospital Center Emergency Room. Born August 10, 1923 in Berwick she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Monaghan) Lucas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harvey Andreas, who died September 10, 1998. Mrs. Andreas enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for her crocheting and her love for ice cream. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Hetlerville United Methodist Church. Surviving are her two daughters: Sharon Lawton, of Bloomsburg and Beverly Frace of Hetlerville. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Deb Eberly, Sharon Whapham, Terry Frace, Michael Frace, Thomas Frace, Joseph Burns and Beverly Seely. Also surviving are 16 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne Santee; a grandson, Brett Santee; three son-in-laws: Larue "Fuzzy" Lawton, Donald Frace and Larry Santee and two brothers: Joseph Lucas and Patrick Monaghan. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 at 11 AM at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick, with Pastor John Bondhus, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Mifflinville Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
