A. Michael Lucas

Andrew Michael “Mike” Lucas, 73, of Zion Grove, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Philadelphia on October 13, 1953, he was the son of the late Andrew John and Catherine Bridget (Nolan) Lucas. 

Mike was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School, Class of 1971. His family later moved to Zion Grove, where they had been operating their farm for many years. On October 25, 1980, he married the love of his life, the former Linda Kay Moyer. Together, they raised a family, ran their business and farm, and shared 40 years of marriage. He was a United States Postal worker in Ringtown for over ten years. After retiring from the US Postal Service, he went on to become a professional photographer. Mike felt privileged to be part of countless weddings and other special events, capturing cherished memories for so many people. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Zion Grove, the Ringtown Rotary Club, and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. He also dedicated his time to coaching Little League and Teener League baseball teams in Ringtown. Mike enjoyed hunting, billiards, golfing, and gardening. His artistic talents extended beyond photography, as he was also a talented guitar player. He had a keen interest in history and treasured his family and friends, especially the time they spent together on family beach trips. 

Mike is survived by his children Stephen Lucas and his wife, Melissa, of Drums and Denise Blanchek and her husband, Michael, of Bloomsburg; his grandchildren Lorelei Lucas, Nolan Lucas, Nevin Lucas, Mikey Blanchek, Grace Blanchek, and Faith Blanchek; his sisters, Cathy Whitney and her husband, Mike, of Pittsburgh, and Pattie McBlain and her husband, Robert, of Zion Grove; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Kay (Moyer) Lucas, who passed away on April 2, 2021, and his son, Matthew Lucas, who passed away May 25, 2016.

 Mike’s family will host a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 37 Faux Hill Road, Zion Grove, PA 17985.
