Jean E. Grozier

Jean E. Grozier, 83, of Bloomsburg, died Wednesday November 9, 2016, at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital due to complications of pneumonia. She was born July 7, 1933, a daughter to the late Bruce and Eunice (Barber)Whitenight of Nescopeck. She and her late husband, Wilbur L. Grozier Sr., who passed on July 18, 2008, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on April 30, 2008. Jean was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School Class of 1951. She lived most of her life in Berwick, and then moved to Hemlock Township in 1995. She was an employee of Milco Industries, the Consolidated Cigar Factory, Borden Potato Chip Company and Weis Markets in Berwick prior to retiring. Jean was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Berwick for over 50 years. Her hobbies were golfing and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren attending their sporting events and family outings. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Grozier, Danville; sons Wilbur L Grozier Jr., Berwick, Douglas A. Grozier and wife Susan, of Florida, Gary W. Grozier and wife Sheri, of Lightstreet; seven grandchildren: Joshua Grozier, Kayla Roth, Crystal Joan Dimick, Brandon Shane Grozier, Corey Delmar Grozier, Megan Grozier and Matthew Grozier, ten great-grandchildren: Elise Marie Dimick, Lilly Joan Dimick, Camille Rose Dimick, Dalton Roth, Madison Roth, Danny Roth, Leah Roth, Cole Grozier, Gavin Grozier, Avery Grozier; step-grandchildren: Kyle Lytle and Keith Lytle; step-great-grandchildren: Mason Lytle, Jackson Lytle, and Ayden Lytle; brothers: Carl Whitenight of Florida, Glenn Whitenight of Florida, and Clark Whitenight of Berwick. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters: Pearl Baker, Leroy Whitenight, Mary Mowery, Hazel Luzusky, Fred Whitenight, Grace Frace, Eugene Whitenight and Doyle Whitenight. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 East Third Street, Berwick. Pastor Richard Dennison will serve as celebrant. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick.
