Julie Ann (Lapp) Shiner, devoted wife, mother, & grandmother, 65 years of age, of Zenith Road, Nescopeck, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born Tuesday, June 3, 1958, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late G. Roland Lapp, and Theora A. (Sager) Lapp. Julie grew up having a street named after her, Julie Avenue, and was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School. Julie worked with hospital medical records for over thirty years between the Hershey Medical Center, the Berwick Hospital, and Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She also enjoyed traveling, working in her garden, and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving Julie are her beloved husband of 40 years, Weems Wilden Shiner; son, Timothy Michael Shiner husband of Mirinda, step-sons: Anthony Shiner husband of Kimberly, Eric Shiner husband of Kristi, Jason Shiner husband of Kayla, step-daughter Kimberly (Shiner) Gonzales wife of Rafael; grandchildren: Meghan wife of Joseph, Kristyn, Jaysen, Jakob, Hope, Austin, Madison, Alexis, Austin, Noah, and Carter; great-grandchild, Owen; brothers: George Lapp, Robert Lapp husband of Erica, Anthony Lapp; niece, Nicole and nephew, Devon;
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kelchner, McMichael & Readler Funeral Home, Inc. of Berwick. A private service will be held, and Julie will be laid to rest in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville, PA. Memorial contributions in Julie’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
